Have you ever have those kind of friends/contact who takes Whatsapp as a social media instead of a communicating platform? What I mean by this is that they do not check their Whatsapp even if they're on their phone scrolling through other social media platforms. Let's say you're happily scrolling through Facebook but you do not open your Whatsapp messages because you're not "on" it. 

Okay let's be clear here. Whatsapp is not a social media platform but a communicating platform which is an alternative to texting. Now if you receive a text, you wouldn't NOT open it right? You'd open it as it comes or as you check your phone because... that's what a phone is for? Yes, I understand that if there is an emergency, I could choose to call but what if it's not that urgent yet it requires a reply BUT the person whom u sent it to just choose not to open it even though they're on Facebook or Instagram. 

Moreover, it shows how ignorant you are as a person... you know? Just because you don't think that it's important then you just NOT read their message. OR there is one extreme where the person just CHOOSE to not read your message just because he or she doesn't want to AND you require a reply. Am i supposed to just wait for your reply? Are you the Queen of England or something? or do you just not have respect for me? There is one more case where it was so disrespectful. This person asked me a question, a specific question to guide him/her through something and I replied IMMEDIATELY but this person just went offline and never even open the message while I was 101% sure that this person is scrolling Facebook/Instagram most of the time. When I confronted this person, the respond was a mere "oh sorry I didn't open Whatsapp". I mean I'd understand if its a few hours, but a day? and I immediately replied! How rude. 

Whenever I do not pick up my phone calls, my dad would tell me one thing- "Just throw your phone away, what's the point of having it if you're constantly uncontactable?" 

This is what I'd like to tell those who take whatsapp as a social media. Whatsapp is NOT a social media, okay? How many people text nowadays? I mean if you can send a message for free, why do it through text? So, unless you think it's completely okay to NOT pick up a phone call just because "you're not on dialer" then I guess I have nothing to say and you can continue to take Whatsapp as your social media. For all I care, it's only going to show how ignorant you are. 

I'm not saying that you should check your phone 24/7 and reply to all messages but reply when a reply is required, or when someone is trying to help you then please, for goodness sake, respond. If you have time to be scrolling on Instagram and Facebook, I assume that you have time to OPEN and RESPOND to necessary messages. 

If not, throw your goddamned phone :)
