Thoughts: Is physical appearance everything?

Okay so, I have went on a semi-long rant on Facebook and to my boyfriend (it will be the first msg he sees when he wakes up HAHAH #sorry) and now here I am. because I am damn long winded and I am not done expressing how I have an issue with this society. This happened because I chanced upon a video on Facebook about a girl who choose to stop wearing makeup due to her acne problems and then she got attacked.

Lesson learned: don't open Facebook in the morning because it will fuck up your day.

Okay, first of all.

Why are people so double standard??

We tell people around us to embrace natural beauty; they are fine the way they are and they do not need makeup nor go under the knife but yet at the same time we judge other people for being "below average". This ranking should not even exist to begin with. Comparisons are not practical and there's no point in comparing because someone will ALWAYS be better than another. It is a continuous thing, you know. It doesn't end with one person better than anyone else.

Everyone has the rights to be treated nicely and to earn a living based on their ability.

What I'm trying to say is that, one's income should not depend on their looks. Looks are god-gift, it's not like creating a Sims avatar where you can choose how your nose bridge look like, how big your boobs should be and how fair your skin is. You can't do that in the real world.

"The world is unfair, live with it"

Ya ya ya, live with it. This is exactly why everything is getting out of hand. Because we were told to "live with it". What if one day we decide not to live with it and tackle the problem.

Some of you might not think that it is a problem but let's look at it from another point of view. What if the one being attacked is someone you cared about. How would you feel? Would you tell them to "live with it"?

I don't understand why do must people meddle in someone else's business when we have our own issues to deal with. Does one's appearance affect your life?

"Yes, it hurts my eyes"

Well, you stupidity and shallowness is giving me cancer.

I can just scroll through that comment and continue to be inspired by the said video but I can't. I can't deal with it because I do know people like that. Who judges people because they try to alter or look better and then they condemn those who do not meet their standards on being "decent looking".

I wish people would just stop labeling other as disgusting just because of physical appearance.
